Crypto Payments for E-Commerce
An online store pays for card acceptance three times: the processing fee, the fraud tooling that guards it, and the chargebacks that get through anyway. Then a cross-border customer with a full cart gets declined at the last step and the sale never happens at all.
The real cost of a card order
Card revenue arrives provisional. For months after fulfillment, any order can turn into a dispute that takes back the payment, adds a fee, and counts against a ratio your processor watches. Stores respond with a stack of defenses: fraud scoring subscriptions, 3-D Secure friction that kills conversion, manual review queues for orders that look wrong, and blanket bans on shipping to whole countries. Each defense costs money or sales. International customers bear the worst of it, declined by issuers for the crime of buying from a foreign store. The order that survives all of this still settles days later, into a balance the processor can hold if this month's numbers look unusual.
Confirmed means shippable
An on-chain payment that confirms is final, so the moment your store sees the confirmation it can ship without a fraud model's blessing. There is no window in which the payment can be reversed, no ratio to manage, and no reason to block a country whose issuers are unreliable, because no issuer participates. Settlement is non-custodial, straight into wallets you control, one address per order, so payment and order match without reconciliation work. Refunds and returns keep working the way your policy defines them, sent from your wallet when merchandise comes back. The category of loss where a shipped order becomes a reversed payment goes to zero.
From plugin install to first order
WooCommerce and OpenCart stores install the plugin, connect an API key, and get crypto as a payment method inside the normal checkout, with order statuses driven by payment confirmations so existing fulfillment rules fire unchanged. Custom carts use the API and the hosted checkout, which handles wallets, QR codes, and amount display so your frontend does not have to. Most shoppers who pay in crypto reach for stablecoins on cheap networks, and on eligible routes the gasless checkout lets them pay without holding a gas token. Shoppers with volatile coins see prices quoted in their chosen coin at checkout. Start it beside your card options and let the traffic choose.
The terms, the same for every vertical
The fee is 0.5% per confirmed payment, prepaid. New accounts start with $50 of live credit, roughly the first $10,000 processed. Coverage spans 14 mainnet chains, listed live in the accepted coins directory. Checkout ships hosted, through the WooCommerce and OpenCart plugins, or by API, and settlement is non-custodial on every route. Legal obligations that apply to your business remain yours, and our acceptable-use policy applies to every account.
Common questions
- How does the WooCommerce plugin fit our existing order flow?
- It registers as a payment method and moves orders through your normal statuses. When the on-chain payment confirms, the order flips to processing, so stock updates, fulfillment triggers, and email notifications run exactly as they do for card orders. Uninstalling it later leaves the rest of the store untouched.
- When should the warehouse ship a crypto order?
- On confirmation. A confirmed payment is final on-chain, so there is no waiting period to protect against reversal and no fraud review step to gate release. Stores that automate fulfillment key it to the confirmation webhook, which typically arrives within minutes depending on the coin the customer chose.
- Which coins should we enable for shoppers?
- Stablecoins on low-fee networks cover most purchase behavior, since shoppers prefer paying in dollar-stable terms. Adding the major volatile coins captures holders who spend from long-term balances. The checkout quotes the exact amount in the chosen coin, and you receive whatever the customer paid, settled to your own wallet.
